1940s World War 2 Waxed Sewing Thread
This is the thread I hand quilt with when working on a vintage project or repair.
Its from the 1940s and its World War 2 army surplus canvas bag sewing thread. Its mercerized, thick and waxed so its strong and doesn't twist up on you when you sew. It looks like the thread used on quilts from the late 1800s to 1950s when washed. It thickens up a little and gives a nice look just like on an old quilt.
I was lucky to purchase a box of these so I'm going to share my spoils.
